iron removal systems

Our experience gained in the "removal of iron" from continuous flow products enables us today to offer a range of equipment suitable for each use. In terms of quality, output and reliability, they guarantee your requirements.

We offer an extensive range of products suited to all your iron removal needs. Our ferrous metal magnetic ans electromagnetic separators are used on all five continents.

Why remove iron ?

The removal of iron from transported products within the context of continuous handling is required when it is necessary to :

  • Protect

Magnetic equipment protects production tools like crushers, calendering machines, presses, grinding machines, etc, against magnetic parts able to damage these machines. This protection improves productivity by reducing production stoppages and repairs.
  • Refine

Certain products have to be guaranteed free from any ferromagnetic particles or parts, so th iron particles have to be extracted with magnetic equipment. A number of raw materials require a high degree of quality : glass, wood, paper, plastics, chemical products, fertilizer, food-processing products, minerals, coal, etc.
  • Select & Sort

Our separators are designed for sorting and extracting ferrous parts mixed with other non-magnetic materials. The applications are numerous, and apply to many products : coal, cement, sand, clinker, household waste, etc. Ferromagnetic parts recovered in this way can be upgraded by the recycling industry, to which the products of Andrin Iron Removal are fully appropriate.

Permanent und Electromagnetic Suspension Magnets

Permanent suspended magnets, ASPs, and suspended electromagnetic magnets with aluminium winding ASAPs, are fitted above conveyors, vibrating lines or chutes transporting bulk products. Thin and average layers (ASP) or average and thick layers of varied particle size (ASAP) are processed Ferrous parts should be in small or extraordinary quantities. They are intended for protecting the plant against ferromagnetic parts and magnetic refinement of products.

Applications in recycling industries (wood, glass, plastics, cable, etc.), quarries, mines and cement works, docks and harbours, the paper industry, the food - processing industry.

Permanent Overband

Permanent overband magnets, OVBPs, may be used on all types of bulk products, on conveyors, vibrating lines or chutes. They are intended for protecting the plant against ferromagnetic parts and refining and magnetic sorting of transported products. Thin and average layers are processed. Ferromagnetic parts should be present in small or average quantities in the product. They are automatically removed by a powered belt.

Applications in recycling industries (car crushers, wood, glass, plastics, selective sorting etc.), quarries, mines and cement works and the food - processing industry.

Electromagnetic overbands with aluminium winding, OVBAPs may be used on all bulk products, on conveyors, vibrating lines or chutes. They are intended for protecting the plant against ferromagnetic parts and refining and magnetic sorting. Their power enables them to work on average and thick layers of products with variable particle size and high ferrous parts content.

They are mainly installed in sorting centres, incineration plants, and car crusher units, quarries, mines and cement works and the food - processing industry.

The TEME electromagnetic extractor drums are usable on any bulk product above vibrating feeders, conveyor belts or chutes. They are recommended for the extraction of ferromagnetic materials in high concentration, the sorting of heavy and bulky ferromagnetic materials and the purification of ferromagnetic materials. Used mainly on medium-sized layers, they are perfect for treating heavy, blunt products with a large granular size.

Thanks to their robustness and tightness, they are perfect for outside applications in an aggressive environment such as : car crushing installations, incineration plants, slag sorting or selective sorting centers.

Permanent Magnet and Electromagnetic Pulley

Magnetic Pulleys with Permanent Magnets, PMAPs, may be used on any conveyor. Bulk products processed have to be in thin or average thickness layers. PMAPs act at the bottom of layers enabling all ferrous materials, even spherical and small sizes, to be extracted.

They are recommended for protecting plants against ferromagnetic parts and magnetic refining of bulk products.

Metal Detector

For all bulk materials contaminated at times by ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The DET metal detectors can be used on any conveyor belt, regardless of the layer height and bulk product handled. They detect the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metals (sphere 25 mm).
They are recommended for the protection of an installation against metal elements and the control of pureness.
